[4/14/2016] Hector Luna sets new CL record for errors by third baseman

Hector Luna committed four errors tonight against his former team the Chunichi Dragons:

  • failed to catch a pop fly in foul territory in the first inning
  • misplayed grounders to third in the third and fourth innings
  • made a bad throw to first in the sixth inning

Luna tied the Central League record for most errors in a game by a third baseman in the fourth inning and set a new record in the sixth.

The Pacific League record of four was set by Shoji Hozan in 1951.

    Wow, that’s a rough night.
I would think that must be close to the record for errors at any position.
Dragons somehow still only scored one run.
