The Hanshin Tigers announced today that they added Ikusei player Fumihito Haraguchi to their seventy-man roster. His uniform number will change from 124 to 94.

Haraguchi was also added to the active roster on the same day. He borrowed Ni-gun battery coach Katsuhiko Yamada’s uniform (number 82) for the game.

Some facts:

  • He became the twelfth Ikusei player in franchise history to make the seventy-man roster
  • He became the third Ikusei player in NPB history to make the seventy-man roster, active roster, and play in an Ichi-gun game on the same day. The other two: Nobuyoshi Yamada on July 29, 2015 and Jobu Morita on June 10, 2009. Only he and Morita had no prior time on the seventy-man roster.
