[4/30/2016] Shuhei Takahashi fractures hamate bone

Shuhei Takahashi felt some pain in his right hand before the start of today’s game against Hiroshima at Mazda Stadium, but told coaches he was fine after pre-game batting practice. He was pulled from the game after he fouled off a pitch and felt intense pain in his right hand during his at bat in the fourth inning. He was taken to a hospital in Hiroshima for tests and diagnosed with a fracture in his right hamate bone. He might require two to three months for a full recovery.
