Yuki Yanagita blasted a huge home run that hit the scoreboard and damaged a panel during Inter-league play on June 3 last year. The Yokohama Bay Stars announced on June 15 that they would give a total 100 million yen back to fans if one of their own players can hit the same scoreboard at a higher point.

Additional details:

  • offer good between June 15 and the end of Inter-league play
  • a Yokohama player has to hit a home run off the scoreboard in center at Yokohama Stadium at a higher point than Yanagita
  • the first 10,000 customers with tickets to the game where the home run was hit can exchange their used ticket (including purchases made with smartphones) for a 1,000 yen discount on a purchase over 1,000 yen at the team store.
