Tetsuto Yamada blasted the 100th home run of his career during tonight’s game against the Chunichi Dragons at Jingu Stadium. He is the 277th player in NPB history to reach the milestone. At twenty-three years and eleven months, he is the youngest player in Yakult history to hit 100 home runs (tied for eighth with Masayuki Kakefu on the all-time list). The previous record of twenty-four years and seven months was held by Takahiro Ikeyama.
Yamada hit his first home run on at Tokyo Dome against Yomiuri on August 10, 2012.
