Fumiya Hojo pushed his weight to eighty kilograms before the start of the 2016 season. He dropped four kilograms during the exhibition game season and weighed seventy-seven kilograms on June 29. He knows he needs to keep an eye on his weight, especially with the hot summer months coming. He tries to eat small snacks, like bananas, during games, in addition to meals after games.
