  • At twenty-four years and seven months, Yoshitomo Tsutsugo is the youngest player in Yokohama Bay Stars history to win an All-Star MVP. The previous record of twenty-six years and eight months was set by Yutaka Takagi in 1985 (Game 1). Tsutsugo hit his first All-Star home run in the fifth inning in Game 1. He is the tenth player in Yokohama Bay Stars history to hit a home run during an All-Star game, first since Norihiro Nakamura in 2012 (Game 1). At twenty-four years and seven months, he is the second youngest player in franchise history to achieve the feat. Kosuke Fukudome was the last rookie to record a hit in an All-Star game in 1999. Tobashira recorded a hit and an RBI in his first plate appearance. He joined Shigeo Nagashima (1958), Koichi Tabuchi (1969), Akinobu Okada (1980), and Yoshinobu Takahashi (1998) as the only players to record a hit and RBI in their first All-Star game.
