Tsuyoshi Nishioka hurt his left leg when he slipped while running to first on a single to left during his second at bat in the second inning of a game against the Yomiuri Giants at Koshien Stadium earlier today. He could not get up on his own and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher. He was later taken to a hospital in Amagasaki and diagnosed with a ruptured left Achilles tendon.
