Borrowing a page out of Kazuo Matsui’s handbook, Kazuya Fujita likes to spray his glove with water then stick in a refrigerator overnight. He believes the moisture and the low temperature make the glove fit better on his hand.
Fujita’s fielding game is all about positioning and not so much about getting a good first step. He keeps an eye on the catcher for hints on where he should position himself on the field.
