[8/25/2016] Toshiki Sakurai gives up seven against Tokyo University

The San-gun Yomiuri Giants beat Tokyo University 12-8 in an exhibition game on August 25. Toshiki Sakurai started the game for Yomiuri and gave up seven runs (four earned) on eleven hits over six innings of work. He faced thirty-two hitters, threw 108 pitches, and struck out nine.

Abner Abreu got the start in right and batted clean-up for the Giants. He went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one stolen base. He hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning. Catcher Shingo Usami batted sixth and went 2-for-4 with three RBI. He blasted a solo home run in the eighth.

Ko Takahashi (started at second and batted second) also had a big day for the Giants: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two stolen bases.
