[8/26/2016] Yusei Kikuchi leaves start with blisters on left foot

Yusei Kikuchi’s night was cut short after he popped a blister on his left toe. Head/Pitching Coach Tetsuya Shiozaki told reporters Kikuchi had blisters on his left big toe and pinky. He is considered day-to-day.

Kikuchi started feeling pain in his left foot in the third inning (there was also some bleeding). He wanted to get through the sixth inning, but left after giving up a run on a walk and two consecutive hits.

The Lions do not expect Kikuchi to miss his next start. He participated in warm-ups on Saturday and spent some time on a stationary bike.
