[9/14/2016] Seibu Prince Dome mound could be rebuilt

The mound at Seibu Prince Dome could be rebuilt during the upcoming off-season. The Lions are aware that their foreign pitchers have often struggled during home games at the stadium and feel that the softer, lower mound might be the reason. Only three foreign pitchers have managed to win at least ten games in a season since they moved to Tokorozawa in 1979: Chih-Chia Chang (ten wins in 2002), Tai-Yuan Kuo (six season with ten or more wins), and Ming-Chieh Hsu (eleven wins in 2001).

Season 3 3 3 0 17.1 21 5 3 6 5 2.60 1.38

The mound may not be the only reason for poor performance, but making it harder and higher might make it easier for foreign pitchers to adjust.
