[9/17/2016] Yuji Kaneko reaches fifty stolen bases

Yuji Kaneko stole his fiftieth base of the year during a game against the Rakuten Eagles at Seibu Prince Dome on September 17. He became the fourth player in Seibu Lions’ franchise history to reach fifty steals in one season. The other three: Koji Akiyama in 1990 (fifty-one), Kazuo Matsui inĀ 1996 (fifty) and 1997 (sixty-two), and Yasuyuki Kataoka in 2008 (fifty), 2009 (fifty-one), and 2010 (fifty-nine).
