Yuki Yanagita (right ring finger) worked out at the Chikugo facilities on September 29. He played catch at distances of up to fifty meters. He told reporters he had no issues throwing the ball but was still having trouble swinging the bat. He is expected to start taking live batting practice soon. His goal right now is to prepare for the Phoenix League that begins on October 3. Whether he gets called up for the First Stage of the Climax Series will depend on how many Phoenix League games he can play.
