Hector Luna hurt the area around his right shoulder when he tripped while running to first on a grounder to short in the sixth inning of a game against the Yokohama Bay Stars at Mazda Stadium on October 12 (he took a tumble after he stepped on the bag). He will be examined at a hospital in Hiroshima on October 13.
Koichi Ogata will wait for an update on Luna’s condition, but is planning to use him if possible — if he is okay he will play as usual, if fielding is a problem, then he will be used as a bat off the bench.

Luna was diagnosed with a labrum injury in his right shoulder and a sprain in his right acromioclavicular joint. He will require about three months for a full recovery. He was taken off the active roster.
