The media learned on October 17 that Kenta Imamiya will have surgery to remove loose bodies from his right elbow. The loose bodies were discovered during the off-season last year. He skipped surgery and was fine until the pain got worse toward the end of the season. He will most likely require two to three months for a full recovery. He should be fine for the start of the season next year.
[UPDATE 10/26 @ 1:26am]
Imamiya will go under the knife at a hospital in Fukuoka on October 28.
