[10/29/2016] Nippon Ham Fighters win four straight to take 2016 Nippon Series

The Nippon Ham Fighters beat the Hiroshima Carp 10-4 tonight and recorded their third Nippon Series Championship, first in ten years. They are the first team since the Yomiuri Giants in 2000 to win a championship on four straight wins after losing the first two games.

Hideki Kuriyama was tossed into the air eight times, Masaru Takeda three times.

The Dogin Regional Research Institute released a report in their latest newsletter that claims the economic impact of the Fighters winning the Nippon Series for the Hokkaido region will be over twenty-six billion yen in 2016.
