The Softbank Hawks held a press conference at YafuOku Dome earlier today and announced that they reached an agreement with thirty-five-year-old Munenori Kawasaki. He was reassigned his old uniform number 52.
According to media reports, the two sides agreed to a one-year deal worth 90 million yen plus incentives. With regards to the length of the contract, Kawasaki told reporters he never signed a multi-year deal during his eighteen year career.
Kawasaki is scheduled to participate in Ni-gun practices beginning on April 2. He could play in his first Ni-gun game on April 4.
