Balentien has hit home runs in four or more consecutive games four times during his NPB career.

  • 2011: August 14 – 18 (four consecutive games)
  • 2013: June 6 – 9 (four consecutive games)
  • 2014: April 10 – 13 (four consecutive games)
  • 2017: July 25 – 29 (five consecutive games)

2017

August 23 vs Hanshin at Jingu Stadium – Balentien blasted the 212th home run of his career and set a new Yakult Swallows’ franchise record for home runs by a foreign player. The previous record of 211 was held by Alex Ramirez.

September 7 vs Yokohama at Yokohama Stadium – Balentien blasted his thirtieth home run of the year in the first inning off Shota Imanaga and became the first player in Yakult Swallows’ franchise history to hit thirty or more home runs in six different seasons. The previous record of five was set by Takahiro Ikeyama.

Balentien is also the sixth foreign player in NPB history to hit at least thirty home runs in six or more seasons. Tuffy Rhodes holds the record with seven.

2018

 August 19 vs Hanshin at Jingu Stadium – Balentien recorded his thirtieth home run of the season in the first inning (runner on first, off Minoru Iwata). He drove in his 100th RBI of the year in the third inning (runner on third, double to right-center off Yosuke Okamoto). Balentien has now hit at least thirty home runs in seven of his eight NPB seasons. This will be his second 100 RBI season (131 in 2013).

October 8 vs Hanshin at Jingu Stadium – Balentien pushed his RBI season total to 131 and tied the Swallows record he set in 2013.

  • July 8, 2016 against Chunichi – threw his helmet
  • April 4, 2017 against Hanshin – exchanged blows with Hanshin coach Akihiro Yano
