The media learned on April 12 that Garrett Jones is slated to have surgery on his left index finger at a hospital in Tokyo. Jones fractured the finger during Ni-gun fielding practices on April 10. He will begin a rehab program at San-gun after the surgery. He might not be able to take any batting practice for about five weeks.
