Kyoda is the first rookie since the start of the draft in 1966 to record multiple-hits in six consecutive games (between June 3 and June 9: three, two, two, three, three, two). The previous record of five was held by four players: Nobuhiro Takashiro in 1979, Hiromichi Ishige in 1981, Yoshinori Ogata in 2004, and Hisayoshi Chono in 2010.
