Haruhiro Hamaguchi left tonight’s game against the Hiroshima Carp at Mazda Stadium after three innings and forty-eight pitches because of discomfort in his left shoulder. Hamaguchi will be taken off the active roster and will be examined by a doctor. He will also withdraw from the All-Star series.

Hamaguchi worked out at the Ni-gun facilities in Yokosuke on July 16. He has been shut down from throwing to rest his left shoulder.

Hamaguchi pitched in a practice game against JX-ENEOS on July 5. He gave up a run on two hits over six innings, threw ninety-nine pitches, struck out five, and topped out at 147km/h. He could be ready make his next start at Ichi-gun on July 13 against Hanshin at Yokohama.
