The new indoor practice facility located next to Goza Shinkin Stadium will be complete by February 2018. Planning for the new facilities began in 2012 and will cost the city of Okinawa about 1.7 billion yen. Construction started in August last year.
The outer building is complete. They are currently installing indoor protective netting and will then move on to the artificial turf. Everything should be done by February 2018.
The facilities are about the size of three futsal fields, or roughly 4,000 square meters. The area could be used for infield practice as well as batting practice and various other kinds of drills.
The Goza Shinkin facilities are the spring camp home of the Hiroshima Carp.
