[4/3/2018] Daikan Yoh suffers fracture after taking pitch off hand

Daikan Yoh took a pitch off his left hand when he led-off a game against the Chunichi Dragons on April 3. He was taken to a hospital in Nagoya for tests and was diagnosed with a fracture in his left hand.

Yoh participated in a batting practice scrimmage during San-gun practices at Giants Stadium on May 17. He is expected to play in a San-gun exhibition game against the Baseball First League on May 19. Assuming no setbacks, he could return to the active roster in time for the Hanshin series that begins on May 25.

Yoh got the start at center and batted lead-off against the BFL on May 19. He hit two home runs: a solo shot to left in the first inning and a two-run homer to right in the second inning.

Yoh ended up going 4-for-4 with three RBI on May 19 (after hitting two home runs, he recorded back-to-back singles to left).
