[5/9/2018] Kotaro Kiyomiya extends hitting streak to seven with first blast of his career

Kotaro Kiyomiya extended his hitting streak to seven games with a home run off Brandon Dickson in the second inning of a game against the Orix Buffaloes at Sapporo Dome Osaka on May 9.

The home run was the first of Kiyomiya’s career (seventh game, twenty-fourth plate appearance). The hitting streak set a new NPB record for streaks by a rookie since the start of the draft, beginning with their debut game.
