May 12 vs Yakult at Yokohama Stadium – Soto recorded his fourth straight multi-hit game since his debut game on May 6 (two, two, three, two). He is the Yokohama player to record four or more consecutive multi-hit games since his debut since Jim Paciorek notched five consecutive multi-hit games in 1988.

September 11 vs Hiroshima at Mazda Stadium – Soto blasted his thirtieth home run of the year and joined Dick Stuart (thirty-three in 1967) and Tyrone Woods (forty in 2003) as the only players in Bay Stars history to hit thirty or more home runs during their first year in Japan.

September 24 vs Hiroshima at Mazda Stadium – Soto notched his seventh multi-homer game of the year and set a new Bay Stars record for foreign players. The previous record of six was held by Leon Lee (1985), Bobby Rose (1999), and Tyrone Woods (2003).

October 7 vs Hiroshima at Mazda Stadium – Soto recorded his fortieth home run of the year and joined Tyrone Woods (forty in 2003) as the only foreign players in Yokohama history to hit forty home runs in their first year in Japan.

October 9 vs Yakult at Jingu Stadium – Soto blasted his forty-first home run of the year (fifth inning, off Matt Carasiti) and set a new Yokohama record for most home runs by a foreign player during their first year in the NPB.
