Ko Shimozuru, Yokohama (First Time)
April 19 vs Yakult at Mazda Stadium. Bottom of the 12th, score tied at four. Runner on second and two out. Shimozuru recorded a walk-off hit to right.
The Carp were down four runs after five innings. They pushed three runs across the plate in the sixth on a two-run single to right by Ryuhei Matsuyama and an RBI single to center by Xavier Batista. Ryosuke Kikuchi tied the game with a two-out RBI triple to right-center. In the bottom of the twelfth, Tomohiro Abe recorded a two-out double to left. Shimozuru followed with the first walk-off hit of his career.
Tomoya Mori, Seibu (Second Time)
April 18 vs Nippon Ham vs MetLife Dome. Bottom of the ninth, Lions down 8-7. Bases loaded, no out. Mori hit a walk-off two-run double to right-center.
The Lions were down five runs before they gave up another three spot in the top of the eighth. They charged back in the bottom-half of the inning by plating seven runs on five hits and three walks. Seibu quickly loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth on two hits and a walk. Mori stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded with the second walk-off of his career.
