- the thirty-eighth player (accomplished forty-one times) in Central League history to record a no hitter, first since Daisuke Yamai on June 28, 2013;
- and the twelfth Yomiuri Giant to record a no hitter, first since Toshiya Sugiuchi on May 30, 2012.
The Chunichi Dragons were no hit for the first time since May 8, 1999. They were no hit by the Giants for the first time since May 22, 1943.
