The Yokohama Bay Stars announced today that Takayuki Kajitani had surgery to clean his right shoulder at a hospital in Yokohama.
Kajitani suffered a fracture in his right ulna after he was hit by a pitch during a game against the Yomiuri Giants on August 1. He may have decided to have surgery on his shoulder after realizing his chances for a return from the fracture this season were low.
[UPDATE 1/21/2019 @ 11:25am]
Kajitani is hoping to be in game-shape by early March. He recently played catch at a distance of about sixty meters.
