[8/29/2018] Seibu’s triple play from Tuesday’s game against Rakuten

The Seibu Lions turned a triple play (5-4-3) during their game against the Rakuten Eagles on August 28. It was the eighty-fourth triple play in Pacific League history; the first triple play since the Softbank Hawks turned three against the Nippon Ham Fighters on April 22, 2014 (third inning, runners on first and third, no out, 8-2-4 on a Sho Nakata fly out to center); the first ground ball triple play since Seibu turned three against Nippon Ham on July 1, 2012 (second inning, runners on first and second, no out, 5-4-3 on a Dai-Kang Yoh ground out to third); and the first Seibu triple play since August 17, 2012 (sixth inning, runners on first and second, no out, on a Jose Fernandez fly out to right).
