Kenta Imamiya hurt his left leg (thigh) while playing defense in the first inning of a game against the Seibu Lions at MetLife Dome on September 17. He was unable to walk and had to be carried off the field. He received treatment and was later able to walk out of the stadium on his own. He was taken to a hospital for tests. He will be re-examined today.

Imamiya was examined at a hospital in Tokyo today and diagnosed with an injury to his left semitendinosus and semimembranosus muscles (hamstring). He was taken off the active roster on the same day, with hopes that he can return in the minimum ten days.
