The Softbank Hawks blanked the Hiroshima Carp, 2-0, tonight and won the 2018 Nippon Series.

- The Hiroshima Carp failed to win their first Nippon Series since 1984.
- The Central League has not won a Nippon Series since the Yomiuri Giants beat the Nippon Ham Fighters in 2012.
- The Softbank Hawks have won four of the last five Nippon Series.
- The Hawks have recorded a Nippon Series against all six Central League teams.
- Yomiuri (1959), Hanshin (1964, 2003, 2014), Chunichi (1999, 2011), Yakult (2015), Yokohama (2017).
- Kimiyasu Kudo was tossed into the air fifteen times.
