[10/2/2017] Kansai University’s Takahiro Yamamoto tosses a perfect game

Takahiro Yamamoto (Kansai U) tossed a perfect game against Kinki University on October 1. He threw 110 pitches, struck out ten, and recorded seven infield outs and ten outfield outs. He is the second pitcher in Kansai Big 6 Baseball League history to record a perfect game (the other was Kensaku Someda in 2004).

[8/27/2017] Fuji U’s Sora Suzuki tosses peffect game

Sora Suzuki recorded a perfect game against Hachinohe Kogyo University today. He threw 118 pitches over nine innings, struck out fifteen, including the last five batters he faced, and induced seven ground ball outs and five fly ball outs (four outfield, one infield). He is the first college pitcher in the Tohoku region to record a perfect game (including the Sendai Big 6 and Minami Tohoku University Baseball leagues).

Suzuki is a third-year student at Fuji University (North Tohoku Universities Baseball League). He is a graduate of Kojo High School in Kanagawa Prefecture. He stands 184 centimeters tall and weighs seventy-seven kilograms. He bats and throws left-handed. His max velocity is 149km/h.

The 1st Mature Cup tournament started today. The idea behind the tournament is to give players that have not had a lot of playing time (particularly seniors) a chance to participate in a tournament.
