[6/26/2016] Samurai Japan Women’s team first round of cuts

Five players did not make the cut after the Niigata two-day mini-camp over the weekend. Three more players will be cut during another mini-camp in July.

The Samurai Japan Women’s national team, aka Madonna Japan, played a practice game against the Niigata Young (team of junior high school players) earlier today.

The Samurai Japan Women’s national team, aka Madonna Japan, played a practice game against the Maebashi Little Senior Baseball Club (team made up of junior high school students) earlier today at Niigata Shirone Baseball Stadium.

[6/21/2016] JWBL: Hyogo’s M. Miyahara to Saitama for Y. Miura and M. Bando

The Japan Women’s Baseball League announced today that Hyogo’s Mika Miyahara will be sent to Saitama in return for Yumiko Miura and Mizuki Bando. The players will become available to their new teams on June 25.

[6/16/2016] Samurai Japan Women’s Team Mini-Camp Roster

Samurai Japan and the Women’s Baseball Federation of Japan (WBFJ) released a list of twenty-eight players that will be attending a two-day mini camp in Niigata later this month (June 25-26) in preparation for the Seventh WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup in September.
