Kentaro Nishimura left last night’s (September 26) game against the Yakult Swallows at Tokyo Dome after he allowed a single to Ryota Fujii and put runners on first and second and two out in the seventh inning. It may have been something in his lower body. He was taken to a hospital for tests.
Nishimura was removed from the active roster today.

Kentaro Nishimura was added to the active roster on June 2. Nishimura had surgery to remove loose cartilage in his right elbow in September last year. He spent most of his time rehabbing the elbow during spring camp.
Nishimura played in his first rehab game at San-gun in April. He moved up to Ni-gun on May 10 and pitch in five more rehab games before he was called up on June 2 (6.0 IP, 22 BF, 6 H, 1 BB, 6 SO, 1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP).
