[7/22/2018] Takayoshi Noma taken off active roster

Takayoshi Noma hurt his left leg (possibly something near his left ankle) while running down a fly ball in the eighth inning of a game against the Yomiuri Giants on July 21. He was taken off the active roster on July 22.

Takayoshi Noma: Did You Know



May 19 vs Yakult at Mazda Stadium – Noma hit a grand slam David Buchanan in the third inning, the first of his career. The home run was also just the second of Noma’s career, first since April 19, 2015.

June 6 vs Nippon Ham at Mazda Stadium – Noma recorded the first walk-off hit of his career. Down 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth with runners on second and third and one out, Noma hit a come-from-behind walk-off to center.

[2/22/2017] Takayoshi Noma ends practices early with discomfort in right side

Takayoshi Noma felt discomfort in his right side during batting practice today. He ended his workouts early and returned to the team hotel for treatment. He is considered day-to-day.

Noma was examined at a hospital in Okinawa and diagnosed with a strain in his right abdominal oblique muscle. He will need two to three weeks of rest. He will report to the San-gun team for rehab.
