[7/9/2018] Takashi Ogino leaves games early

Takashi Ogino took a pitch off his hand when he struck out swinging in the sixth inning of a game against the Seibu Lions at MetLife Dome on July 9. The ball either hit his index finger or his middle finger. He was removed from the game and taken to a hospital for tests. Tadahito Iguchi told reporters he was not sure if Ogino would be able to play in Lotte’s last two games before the All-Star break.

Ogino was examined at a hospital in Tachikawa and diagnosed with a fractured proximal phalanx in his index finger. He will need about two months for a full recovery. He will also miss the All-Star series.

[9/20/2016] Takashi Ogino hurts right leg

Takashi Ogino hurt his right leg while running to first base during a game against the Nippon Ham Fighters on September 19. He was examined a hospital in Tokyo today and diagnosed with a strain in his right biceps femoris. He will most likely require about three weeks for a full recovery and was taken off the active roster.

[4/28/2016] Takashi Ogino hurts left internal oblique

Takashi Ogino hurt his left side during a game against Seibu at Seibu Prince Dome on April 27. He had trouble swinging the bat this morning and was taken off the active roster on the same day.

Ogino hurt his left side when throwing the ball during pre-game fielding practice on April 27. He was examined at a hospital in Tokyo on April 28 and diagnosed with a strain in his left internal oblique muscle. He will require four to six weeks for a full recovery.
