Tomomi Takahashi left an outing against the Nippon Ham Fighters on March 31 after facing just two hitters. He was removed from the game because of discomfort in his left shoulder. He was taken of the active roster on April 1.
Takahashi was examined at a hospital in Tokyo on April 2 and diagnosed with join pain in his left shoulder. He will be re-examined after the inflammation subsides.

Tomomi Takahashi could rejoin the Ichi-gun team in time for either the Nippon Ham series that begins on September 30 or the Rakuten series that begins on October 2. Takahashi had Tommy John surgery in July 2016. He resumed bullpen session this year in April and pitched in his first rehab game at Ni-gun on June 3. It was his first game in April 19, 2016.
Takahashi pitched in a batting practice scrimmage on September 23 and tossed an inning during a Ni-gun game against Lotte the following day on September 24. He has pitched in eleven Ni-gun games this year and posted a 2.79 ERA and 2.17 WHIP over 9.2 innings of work.

Tomomi Takahashi had Tommy John surgery last year in July. He pitched in his second Ni-gun rehab game today. He started a game against the Futures and struck out all three batters he faced (K, Kl, K). He topped out at 149km/h.
Takahashi pitched in his first Ni-gun rehab game on June 3. He pitched one inning, did not give up any runs, allowed one hit, and struck out two against Yokohama.
