The Orix Buffaloes announced today that they signed Brandon Dickson and Chris Marrero to contracts for the 2018 season. According to various reports, Dickson agreed to a two-year deal that will be worth an estimated two million US dollars next year. Marrero agreed to a one-year deal that will be worth an estimated one million US dollars. Both contracts include performance bonuses.

According to Sports Hochi, the Orix Buffaloes have been interested in signing Brandon Dickson to a contract extension because of his consistency. He has pitched in at least twenty games in every season since his first year in 2013. He is also on course for his fifth straight season with 130 or more innings of work.
Sports Hochi is reporting that the Buffaloes reached out to Dickson early on and have more or less agreed on a two-year extension that will be worth an estimated 200 million yen (up twenty million yen) next year.

Brandon Dickson notched three RBI against the Yakult Swallows at Jingu Stadium on June 5. He joined Hideaki Wakui (2010) and Toshiya Sugiuchi (2011) as the only Pacific League pitchers to record three RBIs in an Inter-league game.
Dickson also became the first pitcher in franchise history to record three RBIs in a game since Hisashi Yamada on August 3, 1974 (before the introduction of the designated hitter rule).
