[6/30/2018] T-Okada taken off active roster

T-Okada hurt the area near his right side while running the bases in the seventh inning of a game against Nippon Ham on June 29. He was examined at a hospital in Sapporo and diagnosed with a strain to his right abdominis muscle. He was taken off the active roster on June 30.

[3/7/2018] T-Okada takes pitch off head during Kyoiku League game

T-Okada took a pitch off his head during the first inning of a Kyoiku League game against Softbank earlier today. He was taken to a hospital in Osaka for tests and was diagnosed with a bruise on his head. He is considered day-to-day.

T-Okada was sent down to Ni-gun because of tightness in his right side in February. He just recently played in his first rehab game on March 4.

Takahiro Okada had been taking things slow since he developed some tightness in his right side on February 6. The Orix Buffaloes decided to reassign Okada to Ni-gun camp on February 8 because his condition was not improving as quickly as they had hoped.

[7/28/2017] Takahiro Okada leaves game with shoulder discomfort

Takahiro Okada felt discomfort in his right shoulder during his at bat in the fifth inning of tonight’s game against the Rakuten Eagles at Hotto Motto Field Kobe and was replaced on defense in the sixth as a precaution. The Orix Buffaloes announced that they were going to treat him with ice as they monitor his condition.

Takahiro Okada fouled a pitch off his right shin during a game against Lotte at ZOZO Marine on May 26. There was some bleeding and he developed some swelling on May 28. He received treatment for the leg today and is considered day-to-day.

T-Okada worked out on his day off on February 20. He did some running and took some batting practice indoors. He told reporters he was fine and was going to play in the intra-squad game on February 21.

Takahiro Okada left today’s game against the Hiroshima Carp at Mazda Stadium on defense in the sixth inning because of discomfort in his lower back. He is considered day-to-day.

Okada was having problems with his lower back during pre-game practices. He struggled with lower back pain last year and had to be taken off the active roster twice during the season.

The Buffaloes are worried, but Okada told reporters he should be able to play today.
