Ginji will make 100 million yen in 2018. He is the first Rakuten Eagle position player drafted out of high school to reach 100 million yen.
Ginji has three children: Torajiro (four in 2017), Momojiro (two), and Konatsu (born Dececmber 2017).

Ginji (right adductor) is set to return to the active roster on September 15. He went 4-for-5 in two rehab games at Ni-gun.
Kohei Hasebe is also slated to make the active roster. Takashi Kawai and Taishi Nakagawa will be sent down to Ni-gun to make room for Hasebe and Ginji.

Ginji hurt the base of his right leg while running the bases during a game against the Nippon Ham Fighters at Tokyo Dome on August 30. He was replaced on defense in the sixth inning. The Rakuten Eagles will wait to make a decision on him until they see how he is feeling on Wednesday.

Ginji was left out of the starting line-up tonight against the Nippon Ham Fighters at Tokyo Dome. He has not gone to the hospital. He worked out indoors. He should be okay as a bat off the bench.

Ginji did not participate in practices on August 31 and instead returned to Sendai where he was examined at a hospital and diagnosed with a right adductor injury. The Eagles are planning to take him off the active roster.0 Comments
