The Hanshin Tigers signed twenty-two-year-old Shintaro Yokota to an Ikusei contract on November 16. Yokota was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February. He received treatment for the tumor and found out he was in remission in late-August. He returned to the player dormitory in early-September and has been training since then.

Ono started feeling pain in his right knee on November 9. The Hanshin Tigers are concerned because he had surgery on his right knee during his third year of high school. Ono had the knee examined today.

Ono was examined at a hospital in Osaka on November 13 and diagnosed with inflammation in the medial side of his right knee.
