[3/4/2017] Taishi Ota leaves game with pain in left side

Taishi Ota hurt his left side during tonight’s game against the Yomiuri Giants at Sapporo Dome. Ota suffered the injury when he grounded out to second in the eighth inning as a pinch-hitter. He will be taken to a hospital for tests on March 6. He will be sent down to Ni-gun to recover.

Ota had been feeling some discomfort in his left side since spring camp and was being careful not to aggravate it.
