[3/17/2017] Tomoaki Kanemoto worried about Shintaro Fujinami

Tomoaki Kanemoto is worried about how little Shintaro Fujinami has pitched as a member of Samurai Japan. He has only pitched five innings this month: one inning against the CPBL on March 1 (faced the minimum three hitters), two innings against Orix on March 5 (2 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 2 R), and two innings against WBC China on March 10 (2 IP, 0 H, 4 SO). Kanemoto is still planning to give him a start during the Yakult series that begins on April 4. But that could change depending on what kind of condition Fujinami is in when he returns to Japan.

For now, the first three games of the regular season could go to Randy Messenger, Yuta Iwasada, and Atsushi Nomi.
