Yuki Yanagita left tonight’s game against Orix after a hit-by-pitch during his second plate appearance in the top of the third inning. The ball hit Yanagita near the back of his left knee. He remained in the game and received treatment after the inning ended, but did not return to the field to play defense.

Yanagita was hit in the left calf. He still has some swelling in the area. He was left out of the starting line-up tonight against the Orix Buffaloes. He played some catch but did not take batting practice during pre-game practices today. The Softbank Hawks are not planning to take him off the active roster.

Yanagita worked out at YafuOku Dome earlier today. He did some slow walking, stretches, and light running. He also took some indoor batting practice. He is still considered day-to-day.
