Yoshiyuki Kamei: Did You Know

Kamei blasted the sixth walk-off home run, fifth in extra innings, of his career on June 18, 2017. The six walk-off home runs is good for a third place tie with Tomohiro Nioka on the franchise’s all-time list, behind Sadaharu Oh (eight), Shigeo Nagashima, and Shinnosuke Abe (both seven). The five in extra innings set a new franchise record. The previous record of four was held by Nagashima and Hideki Matsui.

Additionally, Kamei became the fourth player in franchise history to hit a walk-off, come-from-behind home run in extra innings. He is the first player in franchise history to overcome a lead larger than two runs.
