Imamiya hit the Fukuoka Bank sign on the wall in right during a game against Lotte on July 22 and earned a one million yen reward. He donated the entire sum to relief efforts for the Kyushu Heavy Rainfall Disaster earlier this year in July.
July 5 vs Orix at YafuOku Dome – Imamiya recorded the 250th sac hit of his career and became the nineteenth player in NPB history to reach the milestone. At twenty-five years and eleven months, he is the youngest player to record 250 sac hits. The previous record of twenty-eight years and ten months was held by Masahiro Kawai.
Imamiya notched his 250th sac hit in his 788th game. Only Kawai, at 723 games, managed to reach 250 in fewer games.

June 5 vs Yakult at Jingu Stadium – Imamiya blasted Softbank’s 8,500th franchise home run. The milestone home run came off Masanori Ishikawa in the second inning. The Hawks are the fourth team in the NPB, behind the Yomiuri Giants, Seibu Lions, and Chunichi Dragons, to reach 8,500 home runs.
August 24 vs Seibu at YafuOku Dome – Imamiya recorded the first lead-off home run of his career (first inning, off Yusei Kikuchi).

The Hawks announced on June 6 that Imamiya’s wife gave birth to the couple’s second child, a boy weighing 3,192 grams, at a hospital in Oita.
