[10/13/2017] Shota Ono to have right elbow surgery

The Nippon Ham Fighters announced on October 13 that Shota Ono will have surgery to remove loose bodies in his right elbow at a hospital in Sapporo on October 16. Ono was partially limited to eighty-three games this season due to tightness in the elbow. He decided to have the surgery now because he did not want to have to worry about it next year.
