[10/21/2018] Softbank Hawks to take on Hiroshima Carp at Nippon Series

The Softbank Hawks beat the Seibu Lions tonight, 6-5, and won the Final Stage of the Climax Series. They will advance to the Nippon Series for the eighteenth time in franchise history and face the Hiroshima Carp. The Hawks are the first non-first-place-team in the Pacific League to advance to the Nippon Series since Lotte in 2010.

The Hawks celebrated their victory by going through 3000 bottles of beer, four barrels of sake, sixty bottles of sake, and 480 bottles of cola in about twenty minutes. (Tokyo Sports 10/21/2018, Nikkan Sports 10/21/2018, Sponichi 10/21/2018)
