[11/13/2018] Shota Suzuki to have surgery on right finger

Shota Suzuki is planning to have surgery to treat blood flow issues in his right index finger. Suzuki explained to reporters that the finger started hurting in July. After considering his options, he finally decided to go under the knife because he did not want to head into 2019 season worrying about the pain.

Suzuki will have the surgery some time later this month and should be able to resume throwing practices after about two months.
